Royal Entertainment Vienna presents...

Empress Elisabeth,
the most famous and mysterious woman of the 19th century. But who was she really?

Already during her lifetime, she had become a legend in her role as monarch and mother of 4 children. She always sought to escape, preferring to pursue sports, write vast poetic verse and devote herself to her beauty cult. Through her tragic assassination she achieved a mysterious aura that fascinates and touches us until today.

Her spectacular appearance, her exquisite beauty and her famous wasp waist, made men of the 19th century go crazy.

Her ambition in sports, her reputation as the best female horse rider in Europe, her passion for her daily fencing training, and her strenuous marches are still legendary.

She herself leaves us her true story: a poetic diary, which sensational discovery in the middle of the 20th Century brought a new image and understanding about one of the most tragic female characters in our history.

This diary is her legacy to us 'future souls", as she named the generations to come after her death.
So, in the end, it is she, herself, that unveils her true story and her soul to us.
